My interest spans a wide range of curiosity-driven insight. The focus in art however is mostly dedicated to rhythmical patterns and my approach is led to a big deal by the craft of improvisation.

Scales and phrasing in music have a similar connotation to symbols and rendering in drawing. Furthermore dynamics equal contrast. And music's rhythm in time equals a drawing's rhythm in space.

Improvising in this borderless field eventually leads to the development of an individual organic form and hence an individual meaning of its appearance.

Thus the drawing becomes a sort of exploration, where countless possibilities of combinations can be tried.

​Linework, ornaments and bodily features get put toghether in endless sequences and arrays that often my not only surprise the drawer himself but - in the best case - also the eye of the beholder.
